What I love most about the Kaze-Hime's art is her use of color and how she puts the characters in various poses instead of the same type of pose in all her pictures.
November:
Philip Straub's gallery is fantastic. His paintings are detailed and simply beautiful. Check it out.
October:
Emily Nguyen is pure win. Check out her gallery.
September:
J. Pablo Quezada uses light to tremendous effect. His photos are spectacular.
August:
Julie Dillon. Wow. I remember finding her website way back in the day when we were both in high school (she's about 8 months older than me) - different high schools though. I've never met her, but I was very impressed with her artwork and her tutorials were what enabled an ongoing joke in my calculus class to be created (Calculus Ball Z). Very recently I went around to see if I could find her again - and I did. Now I get to share her incredible artwork with you. Stop by her site and give her some love.
July:
Zardo is a fantastic photographer. His pictures are dark and beautiful. My favorite things about his pictures are the dramatic shadows and light, and the perspective. Check it out.
June:
With summer, comes sun and fun. That's exactly what you get with Kuakness's art. She's the first person I ever got a commission from, and I love that picture! It's hanging on my wall at work where I can look at every day.
May:
May belongs to this guy. Seriously. The pictures are just mind-blowing. My love for Tifa was rekindled from these pictures.
April:
Can you believe? I don't even know her name, but damn, can she write a poem that dents the armor you've worn for so long you can't remember not being burdened. April is national poetry month, and although twilite-crescent lists herself as a novelist, her poetry has always resonated with me. Check them out.
April (art):
I know there are some of you out there who don't read poetry (for shame), but I try to be an equal opportunity promoter. So for those people who need something a little more visual than words, I present nami86 for your viewing pleasure. And pleasure is what she does best. I've recently gotten into a Naurto - well not obsession, but interest - and if you like sexy (without trashy) illustrations of Sakura x Sasuke you need to go to this gallery. Seriously. Oh, and snake lovers will like the gallery too. Like George Zimmer of the Men's Warehouse - I guarantee it.
March:
Adele Lorienne's work reminds me so much of the RPG artwork that went into games like Dungeons and Dragons (Baldur's Gate, Neverwinter Nights, etc.) that just pulls you into the world of fantasy. Every piece of art in her gallery is absolutely gorgeous.
February:
UdonCrew is simply amazing in their artwork. Everything is top notched and their gallery is well versed in fan work such as Street Fighter, WoW, and other popular games. You would do well to check out their gallery.
January:
Lethi is an all-in-all outstanding artist. Awesome poses, great color schemes ... I mean you can't really ask for more. Check out the gallery, and you'll see what I mean. I can't think of anybody better to start out 2008 than Symphonic.
Devious Comments
btw, did you not get any emails from me? if you haven't got any, then i'd have to try again!
